TAM87179 5mm Masking Tape (for Curves)

This specialized 5mm masking tape is designed to create smooth, clean curved paint lines on scale models and other hobby projects. Its soft resin construction allows the tape to follow sweeping curves while helping prevent wrinkles that can occur with conventional masking tape. The flexible material also helps create a secure paint barrier, reducing the chance of paint seeping underneath the masked area. The 5mm width provides a good balance between flexibility and coverage, making it especially useful for gentle to moderately tight curves. Each roll contains approximately 20 meters of tape for repeated painting projects. For sharper curves, Tamiya recommends using one of the narrower 2mm or 3mm versions.
