Commemorating Tamiya’s very first R/C model, this special release faithfully recreates the legendary Porsche 934 with a uniquely engineered chassis that mirrors the real car’s rear-center, longitudinal motor layout, delivering authentic rear-wheel-drive performance and scale realism.

Designed with both drivers and display collectors in mind, this kit includes innovative magnetized body mounts for a clean, hole-free finish (perfect for shelf display) alongside a traditional mounting option for those ready to hit the track. Each kit also features a unique numbered plate, adding an exclusive collectible touch.

The advanced drivetrain system enhances realism and performance, utilizing a multi-stage gear setup where power flows from pinion gear A to a spur gear, through a propeller shaft, and onward to pinion gear B, before reaching the final spur gear and gear differential. Equipped with newly designed 66T spur gears (0.4 module) and the proven TB-05 gear differential, this setup ensures smooth power delivery and easy gear ratio tuning via interchangeable pinions. Aluminum gearbox components boost strength and durability for long-lasting performance.

At the rear, carbon fiber reinforced trailing arms replicate the full-scale suspension design, offering superior rigidity and precise handling. The glass fiber reinforced lower deck integrates the main and rear chassis sections, creating a lightweight yet robust platform.

With a standard 230mm wheelbase optimized for trailing arm suspension, this chassis also offers versatility with a convertible 251mm wheelbase option using a double wishbone rear setup (requires separately sold body). Builders can customize their setup for either high-performance driving or pristine display.

Scale details bring this model to life, including a muffler-style motor guard, realistic chassis underside patterns, and an intercooler-inspired stay mount design. Optional cooling fans (sold separately) can be added above the motor to replicate the full-scale car’s cooling system, enhancing both aesthetics and authenticity.
