This product is an aluminum center skid plate designed as an upgrade or replacement for the stock plastic central skid on the Redcat Racing Gen8 1/10 scale crawler platform. It mounts under the center gearbox area to protect the transmission housing and chassis from impacts, abrasion, and rough terrain when crawling or trail driving. CNC machined aluminum construction increases rigidity and helps reduce chassis flex under load, improving durability compared to stock plastic skid plates. The smooth underside helps the vehicle slide over rocks and obstacles without catching. It is intended as a direct hop‑up for improved off‑road robustness and long‑term reliability.
